I am starting to get around a bit more this weekend and feeling a little stronger. I am not really in much pain except for where the drains are attached...those are always the worst part. I still have three left and I am hoping to get most, if not all, of them out on Monday. Everything seems to be healing really good and I am starting to see the amazing work that everyone was talking about when referring to Dr. Mistry. I am so looking forward to when I can become active again and even go back to work. That is when I will start to feel "normal" again. In reading the Word today I was reminded of one of my favorite passages:
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

At home
I came home yesterday around 4:00. I was doing my walking and able to eat, so I passed the test to come home. My pain is very controllable. I am highly medicated, but can at least sit up and walk around a bit during that time. I have 4 drains in place making it impossible for me to wear any of my clothes, so I am still sporting a hospital gown....nice! I see Dr. Mistry on Wednesday and hope to rid of at least one drain, maybe two if I'm lucky. Surgery went great and I am healing right on schedule.
