DRAIN FREE!!

As of yesterday morning I am completely drain free!!! I can't begin to explain how much better I feel without those horrible things. I can actually wear fairly normal clothes now and can feel human!
I saw Dr. Mistry yesterday and she said everything is continuing to heal up beautifully. After she pulled the last drain she did my first fill. With the expander in place now she will be filling me about once each week. She plans on this being about a 6 week process. It was somewhat of a surreal experience...the syringe that she used was extremely large and SCARY! I just closed my eyes and went to my happy place. It didn't hurt, but felt really strange as she filled. She put about 60cc's of fluid and plans to do that much each time. She gave me a muscle relaxer to take yesterday as the pressure started to worsen. After taking the pill I literally passed out and was asleep from 7pm last night to 9am this morning...whoa, that is a serious muscle relaxer! I feel very rested today.
Hayden also saw his gastrointerologist yesterday and we got a very good report. He has grown almost 3 inches and gained 5 lbs. in 4 months!! He went from the 50th percentile to 90th! The treatment they have him on is definitely working and we may be able to get him off in about 6 months! Praise God for some wonderful healing!
I am heading to off to get some munchies prepared for the Boise State game! GO BRONCOS!! :)
